This team of five Al nerds, who had previously worked at Blizzard Entertainment for up to seven years, believed that they could innovate on the blockchain. And so, they founded their own Gaming Agency, specializing in Play to Earn (P2E) games.

The Grimzs’ mission is to create a unique and immersive experience for their players, where they can use their own portrait to generate unique characters. And they’ve managed to raise $10MM in order to create the first P2E game combining blockchain and artificial intelligence.

So who are the Grimzs? They hold many secrets, and don’t underestimate them just because they live underground in a wooden village. Their knowledge of human folks and deep interest in technology have led them to build something able to turn anyone into one of them. Grimzs come in different shapes and forms, and players will be able to choose the kind they would like to join. Their stories and purpose vary, but rest assured, everyone will be welcome into the village!

The mint experience itself will be unique. The Grimzs will allow their minters to upload a portrait and merge it with the kind of Grimz they prefer. Minting is important, but it’s not the only way to get a Grimz that looks like you. Upon purchase on secondary markets, holders will be able to exchange their Grimz for a Capsule, which in turn can be used to trigger a re-design of your Grimz using your own selfie-portrait.

The Grimzs team will even doxx themselves before the mint, in a very special video, from a very special place. No one is ready for what is coming, and that’s how they like it.

He is a Nightmare to be avoided at all cost. If you do find yourself in the unfortunate position of coming face to face with Morde, it is advisable that you say very little to him, as he will use anything you tell him to his full advantage.

Play and Earn

Although there will not be a P&E mechanic available prior to the public game launch, holders will be rewarded with AIRDROPS during this window. Holders will also be rewarded with early access to the alpha and beta phases of the game. The drops will consist of:

• Multiple AIRDROPS of COSMETICS tied to each NFT
• AIRDROP of INK tokens during the game beta, just before the official game launch.

Economy

Community members will play games to unlock “INK” tokens. These may be used across multiple aspects of the game, and the greater Clementine’s Nightmare metaverse. The tokens serve as CURRENCY for purchasing additional game packs and in-game services. INK tokens can also purchase unleashing transfers of any owned hero. This puts any champion they choose onto the blockchain as an NFT.

Please note that there will be requirements for creating NFTs from in-game heroes, such as player level and power. Game NFTs will also differ from the Pre-Launch NFTs.

Once the first and only air drop of INK tokens has occurred, no additional INK tokens will be released by the team, and new INK tokens can only be generated by playing the game. Further token details are coming soon.

Kryptomon launches the first stage of its living-NFT-powered, play-and-earn game, allowing users to hatch, train, breed and trade their NFTs, as well as participate in location-based treasure hunts in the Metaverse. Kryptomon also sends players a monthly comic full of game lore.

Amsterdam, February, 2022 — Kryptomon, the NFT play-to-earn blockchain game where Pokémon meets Tamagotchi and CryptoKitties, launches Stage 1 of its NFT gaming metaverse. As the first project to create a living NFT on the blockchain, players can breed, care for, and train their Kryptomons, NFT creatures with unique characteristics and abilities.

Kryptomon’s official launch arrives on the heels of two successful initial NFT egg sales on Binance NFT, the NFT marketplace of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. The debut sale in November 2021 resulted in 2,000 NFT eggs selling out in under 1 second and generating $180,000 in sales, one of the fastest sales in Binance NFT’s history. A second egg sale launched on February 8, 2022 generated $237,500 in sales again under 1 second for 2,500 NFT eggs sold, setting another benchmark for Kryptomon.

Kryptomon merges the core design concepts behind Tamagotchi and Pokémon, reimagining them for the modern era of blockchain gaming, and bringing players an entire gaming Metaverse they can own a part of. Kryptomons are collectible virtual monsters, living NFTs with features defined by a unique 38-random parameter digital genetic code. The platform conducts monthly augmented reality treasure hunts during every full moon, sending players, armed with their smartphones and crypto wallets, on a real-world quest for loot boxes with consumables and NFT Kryptomon eggs.

 

As part of the Stage 1 release campaign, players receive daily loot boxes with valuable consumables, including food, bandages, and training cards for their Kryptomon. The more Kryptomons users collect, the more loot boxes they receive daily. Players use the consumables to feed and train their Kryptomon, forging stronger bonds with their living digital companions. This will benefit players in Stage 2, with the release of a full-fledged combat system. If trainers neglect their Kryptomon, the creatures will freeze, with players having to pay a fee to unfreeze and continue using them.

 

Starting on the 15th of February, players will be able to breed their Kryptomon NFTs and begin selling the new NFT eggs they generate on any of the 7 NFT marketplaces that have partnered with Kryptomon, including Kryptomon’s official KMarket marketplace. On the same date Kryptomon will release its “Play to Earn” (P2E) mechanics to the game, making it possible for players to start earning money in the form of $KMON tokens and NFTs as they enjoy the game.

Kryptomon’s marketplace enables Kryptomon NFT trading, purchases, and $KMON token staking to participate in NFT lotteries and generation of “candies,” which are used as in-game currency to purchase loot-boxes and items.

Incorporating a first-of-its-kind blockchain “Walk to Earn” model for users to earn NFTS, $KMON tokens, in-game items and new features, Kryptomon integrates real-world gameplay and Metaverse capabilities to create an immersive community experience through monthly treasure hunts. Alongside the treasure hunt, Kryptomon expands its lore, releasing the first issue of its comic book series titled Eva’s Journey. Each month, new issues will reveal more about the game’s backstory and characters while giving readers helpful gameplay tips.

What is the projects launch date?

Our Genesis Mint is set to launch at the very beginning of March, and our Open Alpha for the game is set to launch towards the end of April.

How did you come up with the ideas?

Zach (my co-founder) and I have been playing mobile games together for about 10 years now. We’ve always talked about launching our own game– one that addresses all the shortcomings of the games we’ve played in the past, and reintroduces traded assets (which is now highly regulated on most mobile platforms). The emergence of blockchain gaming has given us the opportunity to bring our dreams to life in web3.

We’ve both been in the space for a while now, and we feel that the time is right to bring this to the world.

What Makes this project unique?

Across web3 gaming, the cost of entry is high and the trust is low. We’re looking to do the opposite.We’re building a game, and a brand, that uses a full-transparency model. Constant contact with the community, daily engagement, reception of feedback… it’s all important to us.

Perhaps what makes this project most unique is that we’re going to be live-shipping the game content. Rather than having a mint that precedes the project’s release date by 12+ months, we bet on ourselves months ago and started developing the game with what we had. Our development is not contingent on our Genesis Mint, which I believe really sets us apart from other projects. We are called to build a great game because we’ve invested our own time and money into it– we’re not betting with someone else’s money.

In order to launch and develop in this fashion, we need to be live-shipping the game. This means we’ll begin with the game as an “Open Alpha”, with massive expansions rolled out continuously. This allows the players to watch the development process, experience the growth of a game, and reap the rewards of being early believers in a game before it makes it “big time”.

Monster Champions will be playable both on-chain and off-chain, which makes it an awesome opportunity to onboard your friends to web3. We only implement blockchain where it’s absolutely necessary: token economy, Monster trading, and verification of scarcity for the limited-edition Monsters. The game is entirely enjoyable for off-chain users as long as they don’t intend to interact with any of these components.

How Big is the team and what are their roles?

We’re about 15 strong on our team right now.
Zach and myself are the Co-Founders– we dreamt this thing up long ago and we’re excited to finally launch it.

Chelsea and Sav are our primary artists, and they’ve been incredible. Chelsea came on as our Monster Artist and we immediately pivoted to offering her a role as our Art Director. She has an eye for detail and has been outstanding in leading all of our artistic efforts for this project. Sav is our Champion Artist and she’s been equally as impressive. We searched for months to find the right artists for this project, and we couldn’t be happier with how our team has ended up… they’ve impressed us every day, and we can’t wait to help them bring their art into the web3 space. We feel that they are going to have very successful careers here.

We have multiple developers– namely “Syn”, who is undoxxed due to partial involvement with a larger gaming company dealing in web2. Each person in our development team has 10+ years of experience in their respective fields– we spared no expense in putting this team together, as we have incredible confidence in the project.

For Tokenomics we’ve secured the best of the best in Nat Eliason. An excellent thinker, writer, and programmer, Nat has cemented himself as an expert in web3. We’ve watched him has incredible success with several ventures– most notably Crypto Raiders, where he’s building a thriving game economy that synergizes with a perfectly-structured token economy. For us, he’s building the latter, and we look forward to its integration with our game’s mechanics.

What is the price?

Our mint price will be based on our assessment of market sentiment leading up to the mint date. We have about another week before we intend to make that final call… but we can confirm that it will be no higher than .2 WETH.

It’s also worth noting that our mint will be held on the Polygon Network, to ensure low gas fees for our project and maximum returns for our buyers.

Why is that price fair?

To us, it’s plain and simple: other projects are setting their mint price way too high, and are turning into the entities that this very space seeks to disavow. We’re not a massive corporation, and we’re not building a game with cutting-edge graphics and cinematics. We don’t need $70m up-front. We just need enough funding to guarantee our employees compensation for the incredible work they’re doing on this project. We don’t need to raise funds on a promise– we’ll let our art and our game do the talking, and we want our community to experience the rewards just as much as we do.

What is the Mint Size?

There will be a total of 9,999 Champions provided in our Genesis Mint.

Are there any mechanics we should know about?

The Genesis Champions are a generative PFP project with breathtaking artwork. Sav, our artist, absolutely knocked it out of the park. Each of these Champions is equipped with a certain level of Elemental Affinity, ranging from 1 to 5. This Affinity will influence the strength of your Monsters within the game, as long as they share in that element. One notable mechanic of this: The Affinity rarities are independent from the Generative rarities, so you could end up with an extremely common Champion cosmetically that possesses powerful Affinity– thus giving them in-game utility. This balance of “utility” and “collectivity” is exactly what we hope to strike in all of our game’s components, as it allows for cheap collective pieces with high utility, expensive collection pieces with low utility, and everything in-between. There’s value for everyone.

We’ve read that players will also be able to Mint their own custom Champions within the game. What’s the benefit of the Genesis Champions compared to these?

The Genesis Champions are limited in supply, while the others are not. Furthermore, Genesis Champions are the only Champions in the game that possess an Elemental Affinity, which strengths all Monsters of that element. They have scarcity and they have utility. Lastly, to give them longevity, all Genesis Champions can have their primary skill replaced by that of any other Champion in the game– even if we introduce a new in-game Champion, the Genesis Champions will not lose their utility due to power creep. They will always be at the top of the meta.

Waxel launched in June 2021 with 250 “Waxel Ninja Avatars”   as the very first NFT drop.  

On the 8th of August 2021 the next and most important drop happened with the “Waxel  Ninjas” .  

At first the 10,000 Waxel Ninjas have “only” been meant to be a collectible, but now they will  be integrated as the core in our play to earn game, the waxel world . You could compare the functionality of the Waxel Ninjas to “Land Plots”, that most  people know from other NFT games.  

It is planned that the play to earn “Waxel World” will launch in Q1 2022.  

How did you come up with the ideas?  

There really wasn’t a “start” time. Ryu, who had the NFT area in mind for a long time, asked  if anyone would like to start their own project and CoinCobra and Frittchen were interested.  When we three 90s kids decided to bring an NFT onto the market, we quickly realised that  we wanted to create something that had the style of our childhood games and soon our pixel  Waxel Ninjas were born.  

What Makes this project unique?  

The Waxel Ninjas are one of the first generative collectibles with different animations for  rarities ever on the blockchain.  

Also with just having one Waxel Ninja NFT, you will be able to earn every other NFT in the  game. Only further NFTs that you will need to buy are “profession books” in order to blend  your found citizens into professions (this is needed to be able to cover the blockchain costs  of the WAX ecosystem).

The price for the Waxel Ninjas NFT is $29.90 (pegged to the WAXP token) per pack, where  one random Waxel Ninja is inside.  Compared to other play to earn projects (especially on ETH), the price is super fair. For just  $29.90 you get an NFT that will be at the very core of the Waxel World which opens up the  complete game.  

With one Waxel Ninja you will be able to earn new NFTs, which you will be able to  blend into further NFTs, use to gather materials or trade and sell on the secondary market.

2. The maximum amount of usable Waxel Ninjas at the same time can be  extended by adding settlement upgrades  
3. Citizens and a corresponding “Book of Profession” (bought from our ingame shop)  can be blended into a profession  
4. A profession with the “gatherer” attribute can be sent to work in order to find raw  materials 
5. The maximum amount of usable gatherer professions at the same time can  be extended by adding settlement upgrades  
6. A profession with the “refiner” attribute can refine the raw materials to get refined  materials  
7. A profession with the “crafter” attribute can use the refined materials to craft items  6. Items can be equipped on professions with the “gatherer” attribute in order to boost  their work efficiency  

This is just the first feature set for the release of the Waxel World. In the coming months /  years way more features will be added to have a fully immersive gaming experience.  

All assets in the Waxel World will be on-chain. Some will be stored in a file that is linked to  your wallet (for example the citizens and materials) and some will be directly minted as NFTs  (for example items).  

Everyone will be able to also mint the citizens and materials in quantities of 10 into an “NFT  pack”. For example 10 citizens can be minted into a “Citizens 10x Pack” NFT which then can  be traded on the secondary market. Others would then be able to burn that NFT in order to  add 10 citizens to their wallet.  

This way we can cut blockchain transaction costs by about 90% and the found citizens and  materials are not instantly hitting the secondary market.

Hosted on various NFT Worlds called Battle Planets,

5,555 NFT Avatars will battle it out.

Heroes are a collection of 5,555 generative ERC-721 NFTs that act as an access-pass, and playable in-game avatars within the Hero Galaxy. Heroes accrue value and rewards through gameplay within the Hero Galaxy’s various “battle-to-earn” games. All except 10 Heroes are composed of randomly generated attributes of variable rarity, and have 5 slots with which to bear various types of weaponry, armor, outfits, and accessories, called Artifacts – won through their glory on the gamefield.

How did you come up with the ideas?

Crying at the current state of reskinned defi play-to-earn gaming, + watching my friends build the NFT Worlds project gave me line of sight into this unique opportunity to release the first actually fun play-to-earn game on their platform.

HERO reward mechanics

Heroes who play are able to claim WRLD Token (the native token of the NFT Worlds metaverse) and Artifacts, which are standalone NFTs that can be equipped by Heroes to increase their rarity, on a daily basis. The drop chance for Artifacts, and the rarity of dropped Artifacts is dependent on players’ in-game performance.

Heroes who don’t have time to play may stake their Heroes and earn WRLD Token passively. Players who wish to battle and earn within Hero Galaxy without owning a Hero may purchase temporary Galaxy Passes, allowing them to leverage staked Heroes’ access to enter. 80% of Galaxy Pass purchase fees, and 50% of the rewards earned by Galaxy Pass players will be distributed as rewards to staked Heroes.

Hero Galaxy Battle Planets will also host multiple live, timebound, in-game competitions, whose winners will receive grand prizes (riches and glory). Heroes with the best performance will be immortalized both on leaderboards, and in our website’s Hall of Heroes (coming soon!)

For the purposes of building a high-quality NFT marketplace for Nyan Heroes users, Chainlink Price Feeds will enable user-friendly price conversions in our dashboard display. 

 Why is picking the right price feeds important?

 When the game launches and players are on board, we expect to see a significant and consistent inflow of players actively playing and trading on the NFT marketplace. It is  critical that Nyan Heroes’ marketplace token prices, which will be supplied on-chain through Chainlink Price Feeds, are delivered in a highly reliable and timely manner so that users have access to accurate price information. Token prices should reflect a volume-weighted average from all trading environments so that we are resistant to any single source of failure. Thus we need to utilize a blockchain middleware solution known as an oracle to fetch aggregated, off-chain price data continuously and deliver it on-chain directly to our NFT marketplace.

We made the decision to integrate Chainlink Price Feeds after considering a multitude of other price data feed solutions. Features that we found superior in Chainlink:
