Introducing Cyber Stadium: An Innovative NFT Game Built on Blockchain

Cyber Stadium web3 Game Mechanics

Cyber Stadium is an auto-battler where players gear up their character in the Training Grounds before they risk it all in the Cyber Stadium. There are two arenas where players can fight against each other: Training Grounds and Cyber Stadium.

Training Grounds is a non-permadeath arena where players can fight against other players to win loot boxes. Loot boxes contain gear that is automatically equipped to your Gladiator in case it’s an upgrade. If you lose your battle, you still receive a loot box, but with slightly less odds of getting high-quality gear.

Cyber Stadium is the permadeath arena where players stake their Gladiators to participate. In this arena, players fight against other players to win a portion of the Cyber Stadium rewards pool. The daily rewards emission in Cyber Stadium is 1% of the total rewards pool. The winners and losers will receive a piece of the prize pool, with losers having their NFT burnt and winners keeping their NFT.

To participate in the permadeath arena, players must stake their Gladiator. At the end of the battle sequence each day, players who died will have a chance to mint a new Gladiator for a few hours. If they don’t mint, the opportunity will extend to the rolling allowlist and eventually the public. There will never be more Gladiators in existence than the initial supply.

The game has an element of catch-up for newly minted Gladiators. They will have a chance to buy catch-up loot boxes for a limited time after minting to help them catch up to the competition.

Smart Contracts and Chainlink Integration

Cyber Stadium uses custom smart contracts developed by the Crypto Raiders Team, making the game 100% on-chain. Smart contracts are self-executing contracts with the terms of the agreement between buyer and seller being directly written into lines of code. These contracts ensure that the outcome of each battle is transparent and immutable.

Chainlink, a decentralized oracle network, is integrated into Cyber Stadium to provide randomized matchmaking, loot, and combat engines. This integration ensures that the outcomes of each battle are random and fair.

Polygon has continued to be one of the most consistent performers in the space, powering games like Zed Run and Crypto Raiders the network has become the goto solution for many innovators and builders alike.  In fact, Polygon was recently selected to participated in Disney’s 2022 Accelerator Program.

Today, The Walt Disney Company announced the six companies that will be joining the 2022 Disney Accelerator, a business development program designed to accelerate the growth of innovative companies from around the world. This year’s Disney Accelerator class is focused on building the future of immersive experiences and specializes in technologies such as augmented reality (AR), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and artificial intelligence (AI) characters.

Ashley was honored to sit down with the metaverse lead at Polygon Studios, Brian Trunzo. Here is his interview.

Outside of gaming what do you see as the biggest opportunities for polygon to continue to bring NFTs in the mainstream? The next influx of consumers onboarding to Web3 will come from music, entertainment, media, fashion, and sports – these are some of the main verticals that have driven mainstream adoption of innovative  new technologies as they begin to “cross the chasm.” There is always news of brands, sports teams, and businesses dipping their toes into NFTs (even brands as big as Dolce and Gabbana and Adidas),  whether it be in relation to the metaverse or just giving back to their loyal communities, which will undeniably coax more consumers to view NFTs less as these mystifying digital art pieces and more as functioning, efficient, and valuable assets for their consumer experience.

What are the most exciting innovations and use cases you see for NFTs? NFT composability opens many possibilities to creatively merge utility, token distribution models and Web3 cryptocurrency economics. That the mere launch of an NFT is like creating a new Lego block and throwing it into a pool of infinite blocks that are being used and iterated upon by some of the most innovative and brilliant developers in the world. We are only scratching the surface when it comes to utility and killer applications. The term “gaming” will elasticize so much so that one will not know when a game stopped and something else began. As we saw omnichannel retail emerge from e-commerce and Web2, particularly mobile, we will see all sorts of new omnimedia and highly gamified experiences erupt from the maturation of NFTs.

What are the biggest challenges or obstacles holding NFTs back? Public perception and education are undoubtedly inhibiting the progression of NFTs. NFTs-as-art –even more specifically, NFTs-as-PFPs – is just a single use case, so an important challenge for the industry is building awareness around just how wide ranging NFT utility really is. The reductive “right click save” meme really  embedded in the public consciousness, highlighting the misinformation existing in the public sphere around the most basic aspect ofNFT ownership. We need to tackle these issues head on, showcase utility and develop killer applications of NFTs so that this meme can be put to bed!

What makes polygon the best option for developers looking to build dApps? High transaction throughput, low cost, carbon neutrality and high composability (we have  an industry leading developer ecosystem with over 20,000 dApps deployed on chain). Polygon technology is the most innovative and cutting edge in blockchain, and we continue to push the envelope in innovation and scalability.: While we are known for our battle tested proof of stake (PoS) chain, we also have our enterprise “internet of blockchains”  solution in Polygon Supernets. We are deploying Polygon zkEVM, the first zero-knowledge (ZK) “rollup” scaling solution fully compatible with Ethereum as part of a $1b investment across multiple solutions in the last year that are now coming to market.  We also provide world-class support to developers building on Polygon, with UI / UX, tokenomics, smart contracts, integrations, growth, marketing, grants and strategy. We have strategically built out a team of blockchain and Web2 experts to assist this process, including hires from EA, Activision, Riot Games, YouTube, Unity, Amazon and Facebook.

What made you decide to pursue blockchain? When I first heard about Ethereum in early 2017, I had what can only be described as an out of body experience! Everything that I was being told, I already knew was true, and I could finish the sentences of the person explaining to me the technology. I jumped down the rabbithole and never resurfaced. 

What was your first NFT? Later that year, the ERC721 standard was published. I was building out the US consulting division of a large trend forecasting agency at the time. I used my obsession with Cryptokitties to drive home an observation that digitally scarce items – particularly wearables and cosmetics – would dwarf gaming, entertainment and fashion. I didn’t get deep into the Cryptokitties community, but I dabbled in breeding. To this day my PFP is my first Cryptokitty (which is also my first NFT).

What other areas and opportunities exist for NFTs that aren’t commonly thought of yet. Loyalty reward programs are one of the ripest areas for NFT disruptions. Organizations can view and  verify an  individual’s onchain history- and then reward that person with an NFTs or digital item, This utility will have a huge impact on how consumer loyalty is segmented and rewarded across a host of industries .

You’ve said in a previous interview that digital fashion will dwarf the current 2 trillion dollar fashion industry. How do you see this playing out? Instagram reached a milestone when more photos were taken in a single year (2014 according to forecaster Mary Meeker) than in the entire previous history of photography. I believe that we will reach a similar inflection point in digital wearables – there will be a  time whereby more wearables were made in a single year than physical fashion items in the history of the world before it. As more people spend more time in virtual worlds, they will create and purchase wearables as a means of self expression. The cost of production and acquisition are relatively way lower than traditional finance,  and there will no longer be the supply chain issues that the traditional fashion industry faces.   Digital fashion is poised to be at the epicenter of a new and exciting era of innovation in digital and 3D design, as well as in Augmented Reality (AR) and Metaverse integration.

If you had to give one piece of advice to an NFT newbie, what would it be? Jump in and just start your journey. Learn by doing!

Where do you see yourself in Web 3 in the next 2 years? I’m so philosophically aligned with Polygon’s vision, my goal is to keep my head down and focus on our mission. We are here to onboard the next billion users to Web3. It is my hope that in 2 years we will be closer to that goal. with zkEVM  deployed,production grade Polygon Supernets interoperating and the largest IP holders in the world developing new and innovative dApps on Polygon across all culturally important verticals.

Mark Zuckerberg and his company meta have had plans to go into non-fungible tokens for a long time this is the week that Instagram will begin their beta program unpopular photography and influencer network Instagram. they are painting this new feature as a new way for their content creators to display and make money from their digital work.

The Digital Collectibles Showcase tutorial 

At the start this feature set won’t be available to everybody and they have selected key athletes, models, and other influencers to participate in this new endeavor. well this is announced as a test it seems that the eventual full rollout will be in available as they expand this feature set across the rest of their property including Facebook and their popular virtual reality Oculus programs. 

Interestingly, meta is going to use the popular polygon layer two network for their roll out Polygon announced the surprising but somewhat expected news on Twitter. Stay stay that Facebook or Meadow is partnering with the network because of their carbon-neutral footprint scalable options as the developer ecosystem that is already on the platform. We agree with the sentiment. over the last year we’ve gotten to know polygon very well and appreciate the ease-of-use and low costs for users to innovate on the network / blockchain.

Polygon has become extremely popular as a low-cost option for new nft creators and collectors to experiment with this ecosystem and I’m relatively low-risk fashion. Additionally because of how polygon performs popular web 3 and GameFi experiments including crypto Raiders and zedd run have seen tremendous success.

Instagram is going to test out some new features for these digital collectibles. For example if a Creator posts an item that will be collectible it will have a shimmer effect that will set it apart from other posts that may not be in FTS. When this is tapped the potential collector can see a description of the NST the Creator in the current owner. This is similar functionality that was added by Twitter a few months ago allowing collectors to make their profile picture or pfp an image of an NST by collecting their wall.

Crypto Raiders announced $6m in funding to help the company aggressively stale the team (currently at 20). The

“A lot of NFT companies out there need to continually create and sell more NFTs to generate revenue. But with this funding, for the next two to three years, we can let all of the NFTs in our ecosystem be earned or obtained by players without us having to charge for them,” Nicholas Kneuper, Crypto Raiders CEO and co-founder, told CoinDesk in an interview.

During the two week testing period, we will be giving away MOBS to the top Raiders and MOBS in the game mode, with the top prize being a Mythic MOB, currently at a 19 ETH floor. If you login, Scroll down the list of available dungeons and the Endless Dungeon awaits. The evil that lurks beneath has been dormant for some time and now hungers for death, allowing entry as often as Raiders so choose. Once it has feasted and is full, it will only open for each Raider once daily, unless Raiders use some mysterious keys to force it back open. So test your Raider’s might in the Endless Dungeon, where death awaits (but not perma-death).

We will not be starting the MOBS giveaway until after key spend kicks in for the Endless Dungeon, giving you a chance to train your Raiders before the competition goes live

Important notes:
– The combat stats impacted by each of your Raider’s stats have changed– please review the tooltip by hovering your cursor over the icon on the stat page in-game, or the graphic pinned in #theorycrafting, for reference.
– Stat calculations now take all 3 Primary Stats (STR/INT/AGI) into account, but with diminishing rates.
— You earn a high (regular) multiplier on your highest of the 3, a medium multiplier on your next-highest of the 3, and a low multiplier on your lowest of the 3.

– Combat should now loosely follow a RPS (rock-paper-scissors) system.
— Primary stats balance each other out (STR > INT > AGI > STR).
— Intelligence struggles to deal high damage against Strength without its Crit Damage booster.
— Agility struggles to Evade hits from Intelligence builds due to their high Accuracy.
— Strength struggles to hit Agility builds due to their high Evasion.
— Secondary stats can be used to mitigate this weakness, and are crucial in reducing your susceptibility to your weaknesses.

Additional changes to stat mechanics:
– Evasion is now subtractive from your opponent’s hit chance, whereas previously it was %-based.
— This means that, in the past, 100% Evasion meant you would dodge 100% of enemy attacks, regardless of Hit Chance.
— Now, it should be more balanced, as Evasion performs well against low-accuracy builds and is countered by high-accuracy builds.
– Crit Resist has received a significant buff to give it utility for Strength builds.
– The impact of Runes has been adjusted to reflect these changes as well– Ice Barrier will no longer offer a significant boost to non-INT builds.

What is yet to be fully updated:
– Rune mechanics.
— Runes will receive buffs in order to make them all competitive in the meta (currently Ice Barrier and Enflame are dominant).
– Boss stats.
— They’ve been adjusted slightly to reflect the changes in stat mechanics, but we would like to receive community feedback on their new difficulties before any significant alterations.

As we end the year, NFT Culture will hand out a few awards.  Let’s start with an exciting category for the future potential of NFT’s. Gaming. When I think of Games that really delivered and have a strong roadmap into the future, there isnt a better example than Crypto Raiders.

Crypto Raiders is possibly the best example we can think of in terms of how to launch a bootstrap NFT project.

The fact that this team has been able to deliver on all of this in under a year is incredibly impressive.  They are truly the gold standard as it comes to innovation.  This can be seen in the current price of their tokens.  As of this writing $AURUM is near its all time high at $.033 per token and $RAIDER currently sits at an all time high of $3.305.  Long term stakers and holders of these tokens are seeing life changing value by betting on an idea that started nearly a year ago. If they continue this level of innovation, 2022 will truly be an amazing year for the CR Team, Holders, and Supporters.  LFG.
